The Porches consists of six 1890’s Victorian row houses, painted in
vibrant marigold, blue, salmon, red, green, and gray, connected by
two porches (145 and 95 ft long) lined with rocking chairs. Its
rooms of retro-edgy, industrial granny chic ambiance make a spirited
lodging statement in New England and beyond. Leisure travelers
surrender to comfort and attitude-free service while itinerant
techies avail themselves of high-speed connections and bandwidth
galore.
Porches Inn boasts 26 distinctive guestrooms averaging 300 square
feet; 18 suites averaging 400 + square feet, and three extended stay
suites featuring kitchenettes and washer/dryer. Five suites feature
a loft and eight guestrooms offer private outdoor porches.
Four color schemes are featured in the guestrooms and suites.
Patterned, wool area rugs further highlight the floors. An extensive
collection of lamps from the 1940’s and 1950’s, etched glass mirrors
and vintage vinyl upholstered furniture in bright colors accent
contemporary pieces in a deep taupe color. Painted bureaus and
bedside tables made in Vermont are mixed with an eclectic assortment
of vintage furniture.
