Eagle Mountain House, Jackson, New Hampshire

Step back in time...to one of New England's last remaining "grand era" hotels nestled among the White Mountains of New Hampshire. A tradition since 1879, guests from all over the world come to the "Eagle" for its picture postcard setting, accommodating staff and delicious New England cuisine.

In 1879 the original Eagle Mountain House, a New England farmhouse accommodating up to twelve guests, opens. The Inn is then expanded to two buildings accommodating up to 125 guests who enjoyed the spectacular views, rural surroundings and sports like skiing, hiking, snowshoeing, sledding, and trout fishing. Our barn is original to this period including the Carriage House ballroom which originally held horse carts and carriages, then was used for automobiles and now handles banquet functions up to 225 people.

May through October, enjoy golfing on one of New England's most scenic 9-hole mountain courses, or hit a bucket of balls on the driving range. Also outside, you can play tennis on either of two courts - one is lit for night play.

Hike and bike on mountain trails surrounding the hotel, then cool off in a nearby cascading waterfall. Better yet, head back to the Eagle for a dip in our outdoor pool. The hotel health club features a spacious weight room overlooking the mountains with treadmill, bike, stair machine and universal gym equipment. The game room features a billiard table, ping pong, video and arcade games as well as a movie room for feature presentations. In winter, our golf course becomes part of the 146km cross-country ski trail network meticulously groomed.
