Stanhope Beach Resort

Stanhope Beach Resort is beautifully situated on a scenic bluff at the tip of the Stanhope Peninsula, overlooking Covehead Bay and adjacent to the white sand beaches of Prince Edward Island National Park.

The original Inn dates from 1817 and has operated as a summer resort since 1855 when it was known as Point Pleasant Hotel. All one hundred and twenty units and the restaurant feature genuine antiques, some of which are from the original Inn which give it a distinctive, unique ambiance of a true historic Scottish Inn.

You are  invited to enjoy the relaxed atmosphere and charm of their fine heritage resort, as well as the spectacular location and excellent recreational facilities.

They offer a variety of recreational activities on-site including tennis, croquet, volleyball, badminton, and swimming in the glassed in heated outdoor pool. The location at the edge of Prince Edward Island National Park means guests have direct access to the supervised ocean beaches, 18-hole championship golf course, guided nature walks, special events and other facilities and services provided by Parks Canada.
